Google ScholarGoogle Scholar, a beta service from Google, is now linked to from the Library's revised Databases and Article Searching page. Google Scholar contains links to articles from thousands of scholarly journals (excluding Elsevier, academic and governmental web sites, and preprint servers such as arXiv. It also contains citing reference information (so that you can see who else is citing your article or an article you are interested in).
Google Scholar now has links to Yale's licensed material (look for Yale fulltext or Yale Links) and export functionality to RefWorks. To set up the RefWorks option, you'll need to look under "Scholar Preferences" for Bibliography Manager.
Google Scholar is a good tool, but it does not have some advanced features offered by other Yale licensed databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Both of these tools offer citing references, and advanced features such as limits by author, year, publication, etc. and the ability to set up email alerts. However, once you've searched these tools, you may be able to find additional items (especially web material) by consulting Google Scholar.
