Datasets of U.S. presidential election results
1980-2004 by county available in SSDAThe Social Science Data Archive now contains datasets of the results of the U.S. Presidential Elections from 1980 through 2004 broken down by county, available for use by the Yale community*. The datasets are packaged (by the vendor, POLIDATA) so that two subsequent presidential elections' results are always together, for example, 1996 & 2000, and 2000 & 2004; however, any combination of years can be joined for analysis after extracting the relevant
variables out of these datasets, e.g., 1984 & 2004.

in StatCat's Advanced Search screen. Further details about the datasets can be found in the documentation from POLIDATA*.
