L&B Room Egress ConstructionContractors will be working in the Linonia & Brothers Reading Room in Sterling Memorial Library beginning Friday, January 18 to construct a protective barrier around a work area where an emergency egress will be built. The L&B Room will remain open and access to the collections will not be affected except that a few volumes will be relocated within the room.
It is expected that the most intense noise will be created by the demolition of the exterior stone work. This is scheduled to be done by the end of February. There will also be intermittent noise until the project is completed before Commencement in May. Dust should be contained by the protective barrier and should not enter the Library's interior spaces.
