Task Name: OCLC Batch Matching

Task Description: These are 59,880 bibliographic records with UNCAT call numbers that were extracted from Orbis and sent to OCLC for upgrade to a higher-level of cataloging through a process called Batch Matching. This process returned 42,769 upgraded records which were loaded back to Orbis. A report of the updated records guides Cataloging staff to the physical items in the Frontlog which are brought up from the frontlog, assigned call numbers and sent to Preparations. A separate extract and load retained changes that were made to these records during the suspension.
