Task Name: Electronic Resource Management System (ERMS)

Task Description: An Electronic Resource Management System (ERMS) can efficiently order, purchase, organize and present thousands of electronic resources. An ERMS offers the potential of a single authoritative source for complete information about electronic resources, now present to differing degrees in YELMO, Orbis, and SFX.

Status: Current

Status Comment: Kimberly Parker, Audrey Novak, and Katie Bauer investigated the three most likely products from Innovative Interfaces (ERM), Ex Libris (Verde) and Endeavor (Meridian) and submitted a recommendation for the purchase of the Verde product from Ex Libris in February 2005. If purchase is approved, testing is projected for Spring 2005 with implementation in the Summer/Fall. Product selected and implementation underway. 12/2005
