How do I configure the ADSM Backup Scheduler Service on my Workstation?

  1. Using Internet Explorer visit the Central Backup page and click the "Password Setup Utility" link on the lower right and set up a password for your account.

  2. Open the client by clicking the "Start" button, then "Programs", then the "Tivioli Storage Manager" program group, then selecting "Backup-Archive GUI". When the program opens, enter the password chosen in step 1. Then close the client

  3. To start the TSM Scheduler service, use Internet Explorer to open the Installation Tool . (You may need to click Open or Run to launch the program) Once the tool is open, click the second button to install the scheduler service. Then enter the password chosen in step 1. The client itself has already been installed on your machine.
