• Selected government documents are available in the Social Science Library reference collection. Reference documents do not circulate, but self-service photocopiers and scanners are available.
• Government documents not located in the Social Science Library can be requested through Orbis (the Yale Library catalog) Place Requests function and delivered to any library on campus. Help with the Orbis place requests form is available here.
• Government documents not found in Orbis can be requested using this Place Requests form. Please enter as much information as is known about the document that you are looking for, to facilitate determining if a particular document is in Yale’s government depository collections.
• Non-Yale affiliates can access government documents in Yale's depository collections in a variety of ways; see here for details, or contact govdoc@yale.edu.
• Microform materials can be requested via the Place Requests form.
  Microform reading, printing, and scanning equipment is available in the Social Science Library and Sterling Memorial Library.

• Mudd Library materials can be requested through the Orbis (Yale Library catalog) Place Requests function. Help with the Orbis place requests form is available here.
• Non-Yale affiliates must email govdoc@yale.edu or call (203) 432-3211 to request materials, which will be sent to the Social Science Library for in-building use.
• Yale faculty and graduate students can request articles from Mudd Library journals or selections from other Mudd Library holdings. Materials will be delivered electronically.

Reference services are available in person, by phone, e-mail, or instant messaging.
Consultations with subject specialists are also available by appointment.
