About
I manage a unit within Library IT responsible for interfaces and programming. The bulk of my programming time goes to web presentation of digitized materials and creating tools for staff to manage them. I also provide assistance with automating repetitive, manual workflows.

Background
I arrived at Yale in 2007 coming from Connecticut College where I was a web programmer working primarily on electronic portfolios for students and a campus portal.

I work in a wide variety of programming languages where I consider my native language to be C++ and I work heavily with databases using a mix of T-SQL and CLR. While most of my work at Yale is in .Net/C# the bulk of my programming experience is in Java and C++.

Interests
When I'm not programming you can either find me on the golf course or mining for gemstones in upstate New York.

When I'm programming outside of work, my credits will pop up on a few open source video game projects where I specialize in data management/mining for massive multiplayer games.
